Heaven Never Asked Me (Single Song)

“Heaven Never Asked Me” was inspired by my good friend Remnant Rising and his original song, “Beneath the Stars.” His song sparked something in me, and I wanted to take that feeling and put my own Kim Cross twist on it—through my own perspective, faith, and the way I see this life.

This song is about spending so much time looking for answers somewhere beyond us that we sometimes miss what God has already placed right in front of us.

The quiet mornings. The people we love. The sunsets nobody gets to keep. The ordinary moments that may actually be some of the most sacred ones we’re given.

Maybe heaven was never asking us to disappear from this life. Maybe touching something infinite is supposed to remind us just how much this moment matters.

A heartfelt thank-you to Remnant Rising for inspiring the beginning of this one and allowing an idea to lead me somewhere deeply personal.
