We Work To Play (Single Song)

We make a living all day—and make music after hours.

“We Work to Play” by Kim Cross and Mark DenHartigh tells the story behind the songs: landowner meetings, muddy fields, building houses, highway miles, and late-night lyrics.

With Gypsy riding shotgun in Kim’s Black Widow GMC and her little Aussie waiting at home, everyday life becomes the inspiration. Mark builds houses while Kim makes deals, then they spend their evenings writing choruses they want the whole world to hear.

It’s a song for anyone working hard while keeping a bigger dream alive. We came here to live—and we work to play.
