Give Me a Bad Excuse (Single Song)

Mark and I wanted to try something a little different with this one, so we leaned into R&B. A pulsing bassline and crisp rim clicks leave room for my smoky alto and Mark’s warm baritone to trade lines like we’re flirting across the kitchen counter.

The song, Give Me a Bad Excuse is about that moment when you’ve already said goodnight, but neither of you makes a move for the door. His keys are right there. He takes the smallest sip of water. And after all those excuses, the one thing you really want to say is stay.
