The Moonlight Is Shining Bright (Single Song)

“The Moonlight Is Shining Bright” came from a real moment.

I was sitting alone on my back deck one night, surrounded by darkness, looking up at the moon. I’m stepping into a new chapter of my life, and I realized I was feeling two completely different things at once:

I’m scared. And I’m ready.

There’s something terrifying about opening yourself up to what comes next when life has already given you a history. We all have one. We all carry stories, lessons, scars, hopes, and reasons to be cautious.

But I don’t want fear to keep me from living, and I don’t want hope to blind me either.

I don’t want rose-colored glasses. I want the truth to come through the light.

Sitting beneath that moon, it struck me that the entire sky could be dark and there could still be enough light to see.

Maybe faith works that way too.

God doesn’t always show us the entire road. Sometimes He gives us enough light for the next step and asks us to trust His timing with everything we still can’t see.

“The Moonlight Is Shining Bright” is about standing at the beginning of something new without knowing exactly how the story will end. It’s about being scared, excited, cautious, hopeful—and realizing all of those things can exist at the same time.

I may not know exactly what this next chapter holds.

But I know I’m going to be okay.

And maybe I don’t need to see the whole road tonight.

Maybe the moonlight is enough.
